    Best Detailing Products

It's highly dependent on the level of oxidation. For light oxidation, I like Meguiars One-Step Cleaner Wax followed by Collinite Liquid 925 wax. I then use 303 Speed Detailer throughout the season and between waxing. I use these by hand only. If I wanted to bring a boat back from all but the...

306 canyon - do engines touch water when raised?

Hi, I have a 2018 306 with twin F350s (V8 version; Series C). A fair amount of my lowers are in the water when the motors are titled all of the way up. They are painted at an angle such that the parts in the water are protected from growth. I am the second owner. It appears to me that the...

    Bell Requirement for MA vessels

Hmmmmm.... I have had a VSC (Vessel Safety Check) performed by a USCG Aux at my dock. I don't have a bell on my 306 Canyon and there wasn't any issue.

Over the road shipping rates from Miami to Moriches for a Grady 360 Express

FYI When I had my boat moved from LI NY to Gloucester, MA, I had to use a hauler with their trailer. At that time, I learned from my insurance company (while doing my due diligence) that my boat is only covered by my insurance when it's on my trailer. I don't have a trailer, so I had to ensure...

Yamaha Extended Engine Warranty - Is it worth it?

I don't think it's worth it on an F200 (too solid of a motor). I did it on my F350s because of their reputation. You could do an oil analysis and then decide.

    VIN numbers

I have never seen a stamped VIN on a boat trailer. It is usually on a silver or white placard. Do you have the prior registration, title or Bill of Origion?

^^^part of my lower units are painted, so I don't have the growth issue. One season, the yard missed painting them and I was dealing with constant scrubbing.

    long-haul tow Marlin 300

Just an FYI My insurance only covers the boat when being towed if it is on its own trailer. I don't have a trailer, so I make sure the hauler has insurance and it covers my boat when it is on their trailer.

Seahawk AF 33 ablative bottom paint

Hi, I am on Gloucester, MA. My boat is in a slip from mid-May to Mid-October. I back into my slip and bow is pointed pretty much West, so the stern gets morning sun, the port side is shaded by the dock and the starboard side gets late afternoon sun. My bottom gets painted every two years with...
