I decided to replace the helm pump on my 91 tournament . The pump is much smaller and needs a backing plate. I am having a hard time finding a 20 degree mounting bracket to mach the holes in the dash. Has anyone else had this problem and whats the solution . . Thanks. Jim.

I replaced the O-ring last year it leaked over the winter. It seems that it was leaking at the O ring again . The kit for this pump is 70 bucks. The O ring only comes with the whole kit. Looks possibly difficult to replace all O rings in pump without leaks .

I was wandering how many gallons the gas tank holds and what is the best,most accurate sending unit you can buy. The current sending unit is a Yamaha I have tried to adjust the arm for a more accurate read with no luck.

:hmm Whats the best way to remove the battery on a 1991 225 g tournament. Its at the port side stern just left of the oil tank. do I unhook the oil tank and slide over or remove the fishbox ? This seems like a poor design.

The splash plate is gone I guess this was a bad idea from grady. Is there a replacement for this part or should it be sealed?

Thats some good points. The survey went well the motor has 120 psi on all cylinders and checks out. The transom has 20 percent moisture I guess thats normal. I am just wandering about non CV2 hull and how it handles with the big 250. That seems a little much moter for the age of the hull. Thanks...
