2013 Freedom 335. Factory ski pylon mounted to transom. I loosen/remove the U-shaped strap. Does the pylon pull up or maybe unscrew from base? Also, is pylon ok to pull tube with a few riders? Thanks-

I did eliminate the joystick by disconnecting and jumping between red (hot) and blue/grey. It had the same symptom of running in one direction but not the other. Unit was removed and shipped to Imtra Corp today.

Success. Used the multi-tool with a standard wood/metal blade. The Plexus crap was like steel and didn't want to cut at all. I kept at it and slowly worked through it. Thanks. Unfortunately, my thruster is Ignition Protected and the solenoid/controller is within the sealed housing. I've decided to remove the motor assembly and let Side-Power repair, re-certify, and give me a new warranty.

I reached out to Grady CS, who responded very quickly. Panel is set with Plexus MA320, a two-part methacrylate adhesive. They suggested cutting through it. Not looking forward to that. Hopefully I can find something that will soften it.

Check your owner's manual. If you don't have it, download it off the Grady website. My 2013 335 Freedom manual has complete wiring diagrams for the radio and speaker setup.

It seems the solenoid is mounted directly on the motor. Side-Power has a great troubleshooting guide on their website. Unfortunately, I'll need to cut caulk and remove a deck panel to gain any sort of access.

I think it's going to be something electrical. It's heating up and eventually a connection is failing. When it finally cools, it runs again. Hard to find Gremlins like that. Best of luck-
