Have recently started carrying heavy anchor on my Marlin 300.The weight of anchor+chain+rope,is about 35kg.I do 3-4 foot seas at an average of 30 knots, anchor is tightly lashed,just wanted to know if Marlin's bow pulpit is strong enough to carry this weight??. Thanks

I agree with all comments.I own a Marlin with F350s,its an over kill!!! BTW even on the range bit,its an under performer,unless one gets a flat sea to cruse at 40 knots,which is rare in the Arabian sea atleast. But I love this fuel guzzler :) :)

Yes I will customize the fairing and definetly reduce the length.My issue is with the ducer flat,once I mount the fairing it will cover the flat.Should I leave the flat hollow or fill it with wood and sealent before mounting the ducer??

I am sure fuel quality is not the same as US,altough they say its 90 octane but i think its not more than 80 or so here. When the boat was surveyed it did 5700 max. Its also Monsoons here so the sea is really bad,I just gave it a run in the creek,maube the four strokes taker longer to fully rev.
