    GW 330 Express Recommendations

250s are way under powered for that boat. They’re underpowered for a Marlin. I’d hold and buy one with max HP. Boat prices are about to drop if you can wait

Fill the fuel tank or NOT

Gas prices aside, for a moment. after 3 years of rescheduling we’re making the long run to Desolation Sound in BC this summer. I expect we’ll run 500+ miles over the 2 weeks and wondering if it makes sense to fill up my tanks on the way out or refuel along the way. I’ve always been a fuel...

What are you paying for insurance?

If you have a bigger boat $$, you should consider yacht policy and not just boat insurance from the likes of Geico. My policy will pay to replace the value of the boat at the price I paid vs current market. Travelers just jacked it up from $840 to $970 annually. My duck boat is insured through...

Marlin fish cleaning station! Pics added

Nice setup. I have the same table and setup on my Marlin. Biggest complaint was every time I fillet fish(salmon/lingcod) all the blood and guts drain off the back onto the fish box lid or down the transom. Pretty annoying if you don’t stay on top of hosing everything down immediately. It’s...

Inflatable for Grady Gulfstream and power

I like the Suzuki 2.5. It’s much lighter than the Yamaha and easier to handle. I made a custom mount for the motor that snaps into the Burnwiin mount so I don’t have to lay it on the deck. As for the inflatable, I stored it on the hardtop on my Pursuit. Haven’t tried it on the Marlin yet but...

    Coolers advice

No question, YETI. Just put a 50qt on my Marlin. Perfect for weekend trips. Also have a 120qt(takes up deck space) but hold fish/ice for extended trips. Worth every penny.

    305 Express vs Marlin

Thanks for the info. The 33 has been a topic of discussion as well. My only concern is that it might be too big to fish and dock by myself. something I'll have to get used to I suppose. :hmm :uhm

    305 Express vs Marlin

Im looking at a possible upgrade from my '04 Gulfstream, twin 200s, to the next size up. Although both boats are hard to find around the NW, I'm wondering if you all have feedback on the Marlin vs the Express 305. Pros/cons? Why did you buy a 305 over a Marlin? Here's what I'm looking for...

    Electrical Question

I'm installing a new Garmin 4010 on my Gulfstream. The device asks for 14 AWG wire. The previous owner already wired 10 AWG up the pole. is there any risk in me using the 10 AWG instead? If I can avoid having to run the wire again then I'd like to use what's there. thanks in advance for any info.

patching a hole in clear window

I just noticed a small hole in the clear windows of my canvas. Luckily it's only the size of a quarter and in between the blue canvas on top and bottom. anyone have any tips on how to patch the hole? short of covering it with clear packing tape which likely won't last long in salt water...

    Hardtop Thickness

Thanks. I just got the specs from Grady in case anyone else is interested. The Hardtop on your '04 Gulfstream is between 3/4" and 7/8" thick.

    Hardtop Thickness

Does anyone know the actual thickness of the Grady hardtops? edges vs. the raised section? I have a 2004 Gulfstream and am looking to add railings up there. Trying to figure out what type of hardware I should use, bolt through or screw into the core if it's thick enough. thanks in advance for...

Adding a railing to Gulfstream hardtop

has anyone added railings to their Grady hardtop? I'd like to add one on each side then add a yakima/thule cross bar to stack my crabpots. Parker boats have similar railings on their hardtops, see photo. Just want to buy something that won't rust and is easy to mount. I'd love to see photos of...

    Cover for Gulfstream

Can anyone recommend a decent cover for a 2004 Gulfstream? Ideally large enough to cover the whole boat. is this a custom order? I'm hoping to get it covered while it's sitting in my driveway for the winter. Thanks in advance for any info.

Towing a Gulfstream with a Tacoma

I've added up all the numbers for my '04 Gulfstream w/ twin 200's plus the trailer and gear. It all adds up to less than the 6500 lbs. of towing capacity I have with my '08 Toyota Tacoma. does this sound right to you all? am I over-looking anything here. is anyone else using a mid-size truck to...
