    Grady Fuel Tanks

Looks like they are going to have to trim a bit of the deck flange to get my tank out. I understood from previous threads that Grady had built the deck plate the right size in 1988 and that tank could be removed without cutting. Looks like mine is just under an 1" to short. Guess I will chalk...

    Grady Fuel Tanks

CG must be busy, plus they lost a couple of folks. One got tired of fiberglass work and another lead guy got busted up on a motorcycle and has been out. At least that is the story. Jeff, I have a "fuzzy" scan of the fuel tank drawing from Grady that they sent me years ago that I have been...

    Grady Fuel Tanks

Still waiting for the shop to pull the tank. They have had the boat since mid july just sitting in the yard. Got a call on Monday from them asking about the fuel in the tank. The wait is killing me. Both places I have quotes from state it will be 3 weeks to get tank fabricated.

    Grady Fuel Tanks

I seem to have lost the name of the OEM of Grady fuel tanks. Mine is a 1988 Overnighter and needs a tank replaced I believe. The deck plate is being pulled next week. I have an drawing from Grady with the dimensions on it but cannot remeber name. Seems they were in Florida and still in...

    Adding Hardtop - Overnighter?

Bigfoot, I have an '88 Overnighter on Lanier also. But I have the bimini. I sometimes wish it had a hardtop. Not sure if a Sunbrella or fiberglass top would be better considering weight. Locally I would check with Fishmaster Towers. They are just off Brown's Bridge Rd. on Cumming side...

    Ex Dolphin falls off Grady.

I'm sure most of you have heard about Rob Konrad an ex Miami Dolphin that fell off his boat and was in the water for 16 hours as he swam to shore. According to this article ithis boat is a 36' Grady. Never been on a 36 but spent some time on a 330. I cannot imagine a wave knocking you off the...

    Newbie washdown question

I would replace the pump and buy a rebuild kit to try rebuilding the old one. If you are successful, save it as a spare or sell it. In either event you will have learned something. I my experience, I cannot get the rebuilds to work properly but that just maybe the "Mechanic's" fault...

Water in bilge of 87 Overnighter 204

Check the sealant around the panel in the engine well. I had mine off for service and did not reseal. Surprising how much water can accumulate. Also deep hatch in between the helm seats and entire cuddy area drain into bilge. Check them also.

    My Rig

Dale, Nice looking setup. Looks like more boat than I would want to tow. But I guess a short run down I-16 to Savannah wouldn't bee too bad. Not a lot of hills or even turns! Did that boat come from the Lanier area? If so I bet it's a good one. Bob

    '88 228:keeping live bait live!

Check out the 1988 catalog on the Grady website (under customer website). From the pictures of the stern of the 228G I do not see a livewell nor is there one listed under standard or optional equipment. My 88 Overnight has a small well just in front of the motor well and I added an aerator to...

    Aft jump seats? (222 Fisherman)

You might want to check with Birdsall and see what they have or could build for you. http://www.marineproducts.net/marine-seats/ Or what about a couple of bean bag chairs you could set in each corner?

    Grady White Overnighter bulk head

Somebody should pattern the bulkheads and then get one of the Starboard people here or on THT to start making "kits" to replace them.
