    Yamaha 225 Question??

When you did the jumper from battery to solenoid did you do anything with a jumper for ground? At first sounds like a bad battery (volt meter won't tell much, you need a load tester), but if you switched batteries and got the same results I'd be looking for a bad ground cable from engine to...

    Hurricane Sandy

Boats made it through fine. Water was even with the table frame on the left side of the picture. View out the basement door. It went up 6-8" above this level. The electric boxes were under water.

Overnighter - NAV Light pole and Bimini help

That's the bimini and curtains that came with the boat when I got it, and as far as I know the original set up (although redone with new fabric and plastic). There is even a back curtain, but that won't go on until it is really cold.

Overnighter - NAV Light pole and Bimini help

For your forward green/red, it is probably just the bulb that needs to be replaced. Try a new bulb first, be sure the connections are clean, and use a little dielectric grease on the terminals to fight corrosion.

I couldn't stand the glare from the white nav light at night even with trying to use the "blocker". My solution was a arch. It has the gps antenna, white all around light, and 4 rod holders, and two flood lights. It was made for another boat, but I got it for free. I took it to my welding shop...

    Repowering my 1986 20' overnighter

Is your boat bottom painted? Is the bottom smooth? Is there stuff growing on it? When I got my '89 it had a 150 johnson on it and it was a very thirsty motot, but would do better than 30. My current '05 225 Opti is great, but have the one you are looking at checked out before you buy it.

    Replacing Fuel Pickup Tube

My pickup was not welded into the tank. Once the fuel line was disconnected, a good wrench on the elbow and it unscrewed the elbow and pickup as one piece. Not sure if my tank was replaced or if it was the original.

Find a repuatible dealer and see what the computer says. It does sound like a cooling problem, but why throw parts at it blindly when the computer will tell you why the alarm is going off?

Grady 282 Bilge Going On Every 5 mins

If it is going on every 5 min and pumping water every time, get the boat out of the water and figure out where it is leaking before it sinks.
