If you have the time and skill it is an awesome opportunity. Anything with glass can be fixed, so if if doesn't separate I'd work at cutting it out to gain access.

slow and steady...the old transom material is coming out nicely. I also picked up this hard top over the holidays. it needs some minor adjustments. But, the canopy dimensions align with the 90's Adventure 208.

Nice..............I shared these pics with my wife and she said, why would you do all that, just buy a new boat. I told her to see the job get completed and knowing all the work that was done, was done by yourself and it just feels good to dig and an accomplish something like this. Don't stop, you will enjoy the boat for the rest of your life.

That will be nice to have that hardtop added.

Keep the pics coming, I will stop showing my wife the pictures though. But I will show her the last pic when she finally splashes.

Solid!! Thank you for sharing. I am highly motived and really enjoying the project. As you said, it feels good tackle the project. I am going to give a second life to this old boat and enjoy her for years to come!

Stringers almost totally out. I probably have another week of removal and grinding to get the hull ready for fiberglass work. My goal is to start the actual rebuild this spring.

Very nice work! You should consider rebedding the railing mounts before mating the hulls again. Maybe your mounts are different but on my Sailfish they're just free nuts with no easy way to access them.

Yes, mine are the same. Free nuts with no easy way to access them. I need to reseat all the rails on the deck. I haven't done much to the upper deck yet. it's pretty good shape.

Still grinding away....But, I am almost ready to start putting glass back-in. I am going to fill all seams and lay in at least 5 layers of glass (chop and 1708). I am also going to build a transom using Coosa and install a Hermco full fiberglass bracket. That will stretch the boat to 23 feet. When I am done, the boat won't look too much like the original 204-C. But, she will still be classy.

She looks great. You're into now so keep working and don't look back. You'll be proud when she is completed and I'm sure you'll get a lot of positive comments.

latest progress on the transom rebuild. She's not pretty yet. but, the transom is solid. I used a 1.5 inch piece of Coosa board, a layer of 1708 and plenty of epoxy. I have nice squeeze out around all the seams. Next steps are to glass it all in on the inside and the exterior Coosa section.
