As you will see from the first pic there was a ton of what I thought unnecessary items on the dash. I filled a whole bunch of holes first by plugging them with wood and sealing the holes with glass. This was done by scarfing the existing edges and overlapping 1 1/2 oz matting, and finished with System 3 Quick Fair (works awesome). The glass was primed and painted using Interlux paint, 2 parts Hatteras Off White and 1 part Off White.

I scrapped the original Grady panels and had custom panels made from Scott at Vector Imaging. He was great to work with and integrated the new Grady logo for me. The switch panel is backlit red and looks really trick at night. He even reproduced the Yamaha keyswitch for me.

The steering wheel was replaced with a new 15" 3 spoke, and obviously all the gauges and such were replaced. As you can tell I like the "less is more" approach. Check out the before and after pictures...

How much did the helm set up cost you to get custom done from Vector Imaging? could you put me in touch with Scott? I am looking to get a similar thing done

OFFSHORE- I believe all the panels from Scott cost around $400- but that included the rocker switches/ backlighting prewired. Every person who steps on my boat comments on the panels, well worth every penny. Scott was great to work with and can do anything you want. His website is www.vectorled.com. Don't get turned off if it takes him a while to get back to you as I think he is a one man band and very busy. His product is tops in my opinion. Best of luck...Bob
