How did you secure the first layer of wood to the inner layer of glass (until the epoxy cured)? Once the first layer of wood is in the next layer can be screwed to it but getting the first layer in seems tricky.

Grog...the first layer was screwed fome the inside out. I was trying to figure out a clamping technique and just could not come up with something satisfying. I figured with the screws I would know each contact point and be able to control the adhesion better. It seemed to work pretty well.
Again I have to say that I was very surprised by the lack of build quality on my boat. I feel GW took alot of shortcuts when building...but I guess the flip side is that if it was built perfect then what would we have to work on?!

On the other hand not many 25 year old boats still float with no work done to them
