I am rewiring my aft spreader lights. I would like to change them to white/blue. As everyone knows the spreader lights switch is on the dome switch underneath the top electronics box along with the helm station light. One question is can the rubber push button light that turns on the spreader lights be used to work with a white/blue light? If I remember correctly you push it in sequence to change colors and then turn off. I’m thinking I should maybe just rewire the new spreader lights light to a new switch. Another question is can that dome light still available? While I’m at it I would like to replace that also. Any input on what everyone has done will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. Not sure what I’m going to do just yet. Might try to see if I can retire to the existing “accessory” rocker switch if it will handle the voltage of the new LED light and just leave it white. I would then leave the rubber push button on the dome light unwired.

I posted a few years back on this but it was probably in someone else's post about LED spraders and I can't find it.
Ditched the Halogens for LED.
I added a 3 position pull switch to the e box.
Fed from the power to spreader switch. (blue/white wire I think?). Made it easier than trying to move to the dash switch.
Added a fwd deck LED on hardtop and one under pulpit.
I still use the spreader switch for cockpit spreaders. I can turn on pulpit alone, or pulpit plus fwd hardtop.

You could replace the switches in the dome light with 2 new on-off-on-off switches. The dome light switch has three wires to it. One press white light, next press off, next press red light. Spreader light is on-off. You would have to run another wire to the new spreader lights.

If you do nothing else replace the Halogen spreader light with LED type. Buy new complete housings (not bulb replacement). Look at the mounting carefully and find something that will be easy to install in the existing location. Order switches and change out now or when they fail.
