Yes, looks good in that color as well and if you read thru he’s put that rig in a couple of hairy spots for a 20’ boat with apparently excellent boat driving skills. Plus the pics with the all the gear and people and fish are priceless. I’d be wanting a 250 with power steering to haul the load but good to know that a 200 can do the job and less stuff to break. If we are lucky we’ll get more shots for 2025.I owned a 208 for 21 years, great boat. This is the prettiest, most well equipped 208 I've ever seen!
I only use the lower tongue when the ramps slope slowly, allowing me to keep my trucks back wheels out of the water.Beautiful!
I have never seen a trailer like that. Do you hook to the upper or lower tongue? How does that work?
250 would have been nice in a few downswell situations like my last channel crossing. It was pretty gnarly, may have still been hard to keep up with the swell even with a 250.Yes, looks good in that color as well and if you read thru he’s put that rig in a couple of hairy spots for a 20’ boat with apparently excellent boat driving skills. Congrats on your new crew!Just finished install of Garmin Reactor 40 1.2L Autopilot w/ GHC 50. Excited to calibrate and test it tomorrow. I did most of the install and mounting myself and had a local shop complete the final hydraulics. I placed all the components inside the starboard berth storage area and hope the CCU will not get any interference there (will move it if I need to).
My factory Grady-White helm seats began to break at their bases (plastic mold cracking where it connects to the slider). I upgraded the seats to Springfield 46 Flip bolster and flip seat. The flip bolster seat was too far forward even with slider all the way back, so I had to move my pedestal as far back as I could on the seat box.
Factory seats are 20” wide, the flip bolster is 23” wide and the non bolster flip seat (no armrests) is 21” wide. Since these seats are reversible (no need to swivel) I was able to mount them as close to the sides as possible. I lost maybe 1” of room between the seats to get to the berth. Overall, very happy with them. Both seats feel much more solid and supportive.
