Good afternoon all, I will be purchasing a 12”NSS EVO 3 to install on my boat. I’m looking to update the transducer at the same time. My existing ducer is a stem style threw hull transducer. I was heavily leaning towards running a airmar 175 HW but I would rather not cut another hole in the hull since it’s not a stem style. Is there any stem threwhull transducer that has the same specs ?

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "stem style" thru-hull?

I believe this is what I’m looking for after talking to Airmar. Now I need make sure that it has the correct end for my simrad.

Go on AIRMAR's website. Look at the specs/dimensions for that. Make sure it is the same size hole.
Some older are 2" and new 1".

Some are Longer too..very long..

Look over their Transducer page. very informative

Get in touch with Semperfi on "The Hull Truth" he is very knowledgeable and has good pricing. I purchased a 175hw for my 228 and it is a fantastic transducer for seeing what's in the water column.

Thank you ! I will try and reach out. As of now I can’t find a 285 Hw any where they are all back ordered. Such a bummer!
