@OP, that is a reasonable price; I am in RI. HOWEVER, just ensure that your transom is not shot/wet underneath. I had to replace my transom on my 22 '94 Tournament and the culprit on all of our Gradys is the aluminum transom cap. The transom was manufactured as a solid one-piece of fiberglass....HOWEVER, the aluminum cap is secured by screws that were drilled into the solid transom, giving rise to water entry and ultimately the infamous transom rot. If removing and replacing, ensure they check with a moisture meter....replacing the cap and glassing in a new top will ensure more longevity.
