Hi, On the circuit breaker board inside the cabin on a marlin 300, is the bilge pump breaker designed to activate the automatic bilge or is it an automatic bilge over ride which should be normally left in the off position?
Same with the toilet pump out switch, is it there to activate the pump or the system in general, with other switches else where? I have a 2004 model in shipping transit and noticed these two switches on the brokers pictures of the pannel, they were on along with everything else. From what I can gather the owner when using the boat must have used the main isolator switch to power the boat and must leave all the switches on.
In my last boat these were the activate or over ride buttons for the pumps and should not be on. Some help with clarification would be appreciated. I do not have access to the operators manual (if even on the boat) till I have to sail it off the ship and head 800+ miles North.
Thanks Tom

Although others will have the exact answers, you need to read the owners manual, you can retireve it off the Grady White website by model year, they explain the proper operation of these systems.

Got Manual

Thanks for the reply, I down loaded the manual and will read it tonight, looks very comprehensive and will definately save some speed reading at the fuel dock. I must say the factory site is great for information and they are very helpful and forthcoming with information when making direct enquiries.

My 2004 Marlin had no circuit breaker for the bilge pumps in the cabin panel. It DID have a breaker that controlled power to the switches on the operators console (called cockpit switch panel). The bilge pumps are automatic with float switches and connected to the battery power through the battery select panel. There are two switches on the op console that control manual operation of the aft and forward pumps. The switches on the op console aren't active until the console breaker in the elec panel in the cabin is turned on.

All good

Thanks for that. Read the book and all is clear. Looking forward to getting the boat. I don't know how to attach a picture to this but I have some really interesting ones of the boat loading into one of those ships they sink and you sail into.
