Delamination port side - down to bottom paint

Providing an update here on some findings. The boat was surveyed as noted in the original post. I met w/ the surveyor yesterday while he was going through it. There was noticeable water wicking in the area of the thru hull to the port side of the leaning post. It was his assessment the water was coming in via the thru hulls at mid section and rear. I never knew these were supposed be removed recaulked regularly.

I ended up w a Grady Wet. Did major stringer repair, etc... only later to find the coring to be soaked and rotten. Ended up redoing most of the port side and will probably have to do a spot on the starboard. Problem lies in the hull to deck joint and extremely poor workmanship.
Absolutely nothing wrong with wood as long as it stays dry. Can't give you an accurate cost as I did all of the work.

Do you mean the joint along the rub rail? When I had the boat surveyed this week, he had wet readings up along the top 8 in inches of the hull in some spots 5 or so feet back from the bow.
How many hours did you put into that job? Came out nice. Also why all the drill holes? Were you looking for rot?

Yes, looking for rot, most of mine was top down. My era boat is known to have hull to deck joint problems. Most of the upper area core above the body line detail was completely gone. I didn't cut it out, instead slid the new up between the two skins w thickened epoxy. Didn't want to get into reshaping that line. Took a lot of hours (3-4 months after work), didn't keep track unfortunately. All of the repairs/rebuilding I did was w epoxy due to its superior adhesion and waterproofing properties. Also completely resealed the hull/deck joint prior to reinstalling the rubrail.
On mine, it seemed like they ran the balsa up too high and when they trimmed the laminate it left exposed coring and coupled w the rubrail screws probably leaked from day one.
