I had my mechanic pull 15 amp power from the acc/panel and install a power bus/strip in my T TOP equipment box. In the upper box. I have two VHFs, a SIMRAD cruise 7" GPS with Transducer that serves as a backup to the SIMRAD 9" which is below in the dash equipment box. I also have a backup USB Charger up in the Equipment box and one LED spreader light that is mounted on the T TOP to illuminate the BOW area when needed. I have a toggle switch up in the T TOP for that light. I only use three items at a time, never all five simultaneously. I decided not to do any custom panel on the T TOP because I want quick access to the power bus in case something comes loose, or to change out a piece of equipment. In the lower box by the dash panel there is a SIMRAD MFD 9", that has its own side scan transducer, depth finder, fish finder and SIMRAD 4k Broadband RADAR. The boat is used usually within 20 miles of shore near Atlantic City NJ. I have a YAMAHA f250 (2018) and Batteries are 2 Class 24 with 820 CCA and 1000 amps with 137 Reserve Minutes of Power.

Wondering if there are any experts on this forum who can suggest better and safer way to wire the T TOP BOX? FYI, I also carry a GARMIN inReach that can be charged on the lower lighter outlet, and if all else fails a paper chart, handheld VHF with GPS and an ERIBP.

Not sure what you are looking for. My Islander upper electronics box is like yours. You could flush mount and close the box up but most of the boats are done this way.
