Congrats on the 232S.

Close quarters handling will be greatly improved by trimming your engine up about halfway, especially in reverse. When the engine is all the way down the reverse thrust simply bounces off the back of the boat resulting in little movement. Trimming up allows the thrust to go under the boat. Experimentation will help you find the right amount of trim for various conditions.

Congratulations on the new rig. Definitely post some pics when you can. I am also a Gulfstream owner with a single 250 and wishing for more HP. But hey, if I can have all my druthers I won’t stop at wishing for another engine for my Gulfstream!

I think the fact that you went into it with your eyes wide open will be beneficial in your overall experience with the boat. The GS is definitely the biggest 23 on the market and you’ll come to love the layout. Best of luck.
