Now that you know what you have, you can just check a different one every year... if you find you need to clean it, check the others. Have a rubber grommet or 2 and spre anode onhand..
 
Remember, that if you haven't checked or know, you should have another 4 slender anodes in the updated thermostat housings (might be 2006 year feature . . . ), which is significantly more difficult, but worth it if you're in salt water with a limited ability to flush when the engine is fully up to temperature.

If you're worried about perforated power heads, this is worth the work (or paying someone).
 
Thanks. Thermostats are on my off-season maintenance list, so I'll see if that's applicable then.
