Locking the doors?

Doesn't appear to be any kind of lock mechanism or lever in my door? Pictures are not working again
 
Cabin door. Or storage doors?

My cabin door has no lock either. There is a hinge and clasp where you can place a small padlock.
 
Directly behind the key slot under the handle is a T shaped cam. It fits into a slot in the casting of the lock. If you lift the handle and insert and turn the key, that cam will rotate. All the mechanism does is stop the handle from lifting. When it does lift, the latch pin on the back of the cabin cover retracts. When the cover is closed, the latch pin on the back snaps behind a small bracket to hold the door closed.

So , do you have key holes?
When you turn the key does it keep the handle from lifting?
Are there those clips that the latch pin hooks behind and are they adjusted correctly.
It's not rocket science:)
 
My bro usually uses the eye of a #2 fish hook to unlock his. He has same style locks. He lost his key years ago.

The guts of the lock are missing I think. If so, you need new locks
 
I’ve got my old ones I swapped out for stainless steel, you are welcome to them. They are in good shape. If you want them let me know and you could pick them up in Fulton next week.

When you take off the old latches, don't throw anything out. There are different thickness spacers depending on the thickness of the door. You may nee to reuse your old spacers and screws.

And hopefully the same thickness cabin door:)
I would expect the to be the case and if one saves the old hardware, it probably won't be needed. It is usually only needed after you discard it!
