i think all the water is forming in there from getting hot and sitting under the cowling (condensation)

i have seen a problem on a 265 that i just fixed
now i make the owner dump the fuel separators after everyday to make sure he is not getting water

we also drain the vst in the morning before running
so far so good!

This is a great thread, very helpful. My engine started surging at high RPM's last weekend, I'll replace the VST filter this week. If anyone's interested in what the fuel starvation sounds like I took a video with my iPhone and posted it here:
