Abielike. With a 28 foot Grady fishing boat I really don't give a hoot about "hole shot", I really care about being able to put the engins in a good cruising speed of 3400 rpm to 4000 rpms and get better miles per gallon of fuel. At 3600 rpms I am getting 1.7 to 1.8 miles per gallon burn rate and I still get a WOT of just over 5200 rpms (well within the Yahama factory spects). With the cruising speed of 25 mph in open water at the 3600+ rpm I can cruise a good distance (205 gallon fuel tank capacity) or get to the canyon -70 miles- fish all day and night and still get back with a 1/3rd full gas tank. I tried several other props and this combo seemed to work the best for my boating style. Your boat is slightly lighter and slightly shorter, with that being said, the 18 pitch is probably good for boat, as long as your not trying to drag race anyone. Marty
