As Norcoastal was asking, I thought I would start a new thread showing the upgrade I did under the helm on my new to me 1999 Seafarer where the original material was rotten/delaminating from water. Seafoam starboard was an exact match and easy to work with, this will most likely last the life of the boat.

Very nice. As you say, lifetime repair!

Looks great, what thickness did you use? Thanks

Good idea to do. Did mine last year while doing shift/throttle cables. 1/2" Seafoam Starboard material the right choice.

I just did mine also on my 2001. The match as you said, is exact. Easy to work with and no more concerns.
