I have some flexing in my transom. I want to rebuild it. I also saw the stringers pulled off the transom. What is the best way to open it up? from the outside or from the inside? Do I cut off the back of the transom or do you cut the top off the back and rebuild from the inside.

Most I've seen are from the outside. The glass is cut around the outer edge of the transom and removed in a single piece. You'll have the wood core right there and easy to access at that point. There are a few vids on the net and on this site. Maybe search and get some ideas,

When mine was done back in '21, the repair shop cut the top off and removed everything from the inside leaving nothing but the gelcoat and glass in place. Then they cut the stringers back a bit and replaced everything with coosa board and glass. With everything exposed, it was a great time for me to replace all the deck drains, hoses and thru hulls. Be glad to provide some pics if you like.
