Mine is Groco & also froze up but I took it apart, lubed it and it still working years later. Make sure to operate it every month. Replacement is expensive & many grady owners have converted it over to an exterior macerator

what is your prop pitch now? wide open rpms? I ran a 25 hydrasport with a pair of Johnson 175 2 strokes & this was propped with 4 blade stainless omc renegade 14.25 x 19" props. I sold the boat but still have these props if they would work with your setup.

What I did in the past assuming the inside cable broke is to remove the both ends leaving the exterior as a future snake for the new cable. measure the length of the interior cable.

Re: Can you plane GW sailfish 282 or marlin on one F225hp en My 98 sailfish with prior f225's 4 strokes could not plane on 1, wot was about 4400 rpm, 1 engine tilted out. Way too much stress at this rpm. If anything would happen to 1, I would take my time at 8 knots off plane.

Also, my bottom paint was 10 seasons worth of built up ablative in which I plan to strip this season-hull was kinda rough underneath. The holding plane rpms with the f200's is 3300-3400 which gets me 20-22 mph which is planning for this hull. the f22s's with 17m props was very similar rpms...

Max hp is 450. I have this hull which had been repowered with f225 yamahas but I just repowered her with a pair of f200 i4's. Would have loved a pair of the f250's but that poses an issue with over powering & insurance issues.

My 98 sailfish repowered with f225s also had the 19 inch yammie props which were too tall. I swapped to yammie 17' and these turned close to 6000 wot which was perfect. I had these 17 inch props cupped a bit more lowering my wot around 5800-5900 with increased mid range mpgs. I just repowered...

Did you consider a Yamaha f200 4 cyl, similar weight to the ox66 & linkages should be the same saving the cost of new controls

the vents are internal to the fill, there is no external through hull vent at least not on my 1998. When I approach full, the vent spills back into the fuel fill tube.

Not sure on a rebuild but a factory new short block is around 5 grand, swapping all other parts from one block to another is about another 3 grand or so. I had this done on one of my f225's a few years back
