boat cover 2000 adventure 208 (No Hardtop)

I bought the middle range price wise, was $450.00 and I bought extra straps. I think it's on sale now because summers coming and it's like 10% off. Anyway I'm happy with it. SILVERCLOUD SEMI-CUSTOM BOAT COVERS BY EEVELLe I have trailered with it twice and never had a problem with the extra strap...

boat cover 2000 adventure 208 (No Hardtop)

Well I bought from National covers and found them reasonably priced and the cover that I bought fit great. I have a 20ft Overnighter with no hardtop and I ordered it 2 ft. longer than they recommended. Matter of fact I think I ordered it for a 22 ft. Grady. Glad I did because it fit great and...

Adding an Additional (emergency) Bilge Pump in the Stern - 2006 Marlin

I second what Dennis just said about mounting the switch higher than the pump. Any height above original that you prefer. I mounted mine on the pump itself so I raised pump with it but if you have a separate switch you could raise just the switch.

Adding an Additional (emergency) Bilge Pump in the Stern - 2006 Marlin

Ok looking at yr pics it seems kind of tight . Might be able to fit just to the right side of existing pump with the use of a 45 deg. elbow with isn't too bad though straight out from pump is more desirable. I raised mine about 1.5 in on a epoxy enclosed block that I epoxied to the floor. Been...

Adding an Additional (emergency) Bilge Pump in the Stern - 2006 Marlin

Ralph, I added a second stern pump myself just last summer as a backup. I'm sure my 20 ft. overnighter might be a little bit easier than a marlin but I'm sure once you get into it you will find a way to get things through from the pump to the hull . You should add another thru hull just for the...

Remote Spot and Aft Lights - Good or Bad idea?

Hi Annie, I bought a wireless remote (ACR Electronics Rcl95 White Led Spotlight With Wired Point Pad And Wireless Hand held remote) just this summer and I installed it with both the pin pad at my helm and the handheld wireless kept nearby. I have only had the opportunity to use it once this...

    New Grady owner...

Hey welcome Evan, from your description above it sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done to get in the water. Don't forget all the safety items and checks. You picked a great site for help and information. Lots of good guys here to help. Dennis

    Don’t change your thermostat

Seasick is correct, worst thing to do is to not service the motor regulary including the t -stats. Think its better to break a bolt onshore during maintenance, than a overheating problem at sea. i have a 1994 Yamaha 150 2 stroke and not afraid to pull t-stats when needed. Age makes no...

    Replacement Hinges for 87’ Overnighter

Hi Rob I also own a 1992 Ovenighter and I am interested in buying the same hinges as you. Mine are still working good but a little pitted. I went to the Boat Owners Warehouse and your right, tough site to find anything ,sometimes not even picture of items, and I could not be sure of the proper...

    Cooler drain plugs...

I use the small rubber transom plugs with the twist screw on top to expand the plug when tightened. They seem to hold better Available at West Marine. Works for me.

Backup bilge pump discussion in January

Right on seasick, but I would think anyone spending overnight offshore or even in different bay areas would want the extra protection. Things can happen really fast and being alerted fast in not a option and could mean the difference between saving one's self and a disaster.
