Electric cars pay no fuel tax...by Doc's logic we should add a surtax (in addition to the taxes that we all pay) to electricity delivered to the car pods...why should they get away w/o "paying their share" to the transportation fund?

Andrew On my 95 sailfish the macerator pump is located inside the holding tank. Our was stuck too. I filled the holding tank with clear water and let is set for a few days. This freed up the macerator and it's worked ever since.

When you pull the wires thrun the PVC chase, be sure to pull a couple of extra strings for later use.

Gw208, You are correct. It was pressure. I opened the cap and the air was indeed escaping out, not being sucked in. Everything runs good and it is using oil so I guess all is ok. Thanks for the feedback.

I have a 1995 27 sailfish with twin 200 mercury EFI. When I open the fill caps for the 2 stroke oil, there's a tremendous vacuum....to the point that it's difficult to open the cap. Shouldn't the oil injection system be vented? Both tanks are doing this.

There should be two bulbs in the mast light....one front and one back. Both bulbs should light whether in anchor or navigation mode. Sounds like the forward bulb has corroded at the contact or needs replacing. As I re- read this, it sounds like a loose contact between the switch and the...

Greatwhite, Can't speak to the handling differences between a Gulfstream and a Sailfish...for us, it's the stand-up head and the transom door. Also seems like the bridge is elevated a foot or so on the sailfish. Downsizing from a fly bridge, this influenced our choice as well.

Bob, What liquid did you use in your Airmar? We used red water system antifreeze. A buddy suggested linseed oil. Maybe a different fluid helps?

I have. The Airmar "shoot thru" and it's junk. It starts with no reading and eventually shows a depth..say 10'. Once the first depth appears, it never changes regardless of speed. Maybe the Grady Hulls are too thick...I believe they are not cored, but solid, correct?. Next winter I'll be...
