    Gerrys Thanks for your reply...seems as though I'll have to disconnect the line to the macerator from the holding tank correct ? Could I seal the discharge location with one of those rubber plugs with a wingnut ? Peter

    Thank you ElyseM and Hookup 1....I went to the USCG site and the regs state Y union needs to be secured as u have said. Think I will keep a copy of the rules on board. Local marina had said an expensive fix was indicated :shock: ...glad Iwas able to resolve ...only 3 months to go ! Peter

    Picked up a 3M Marine Vinyl Cleaner and Restorer product from West Marine yesterday...a waste of time and money :!: I'll try Steam/Bleach/Amorall next :D
