Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

wench: A voluptuous female pirate type woman, usually with a firey attitude, and usually seen around taverns and bars, seaside fishing towns, and wherever pirates roam She said that was pretty much true!

Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

Yes I can move it down to where the roller touches the bow eye. I misread your post, I inferred that this would allow the boat to move further forward on the trailer. My mistake. In fact that is where I had it before and moved it to prove to my wife that it would not matter because no matter...

Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

DennisG, I have tried moving the height of the stand, If you notice the angle of the bow matches the angle of the support beam for the wench. I moved it up and down, no change. My wife said the same thing, the picture is where I left it after moving to test.

Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

Smokeymtn, I bought mine from the same place you bought yours. They said this is the trailer they use for the 22' hull. The boat was in drystack and I had to pick up the trailer first and go get the boat. I can take it back to them and I will, I'm just trying to do what I can to get it towable...

Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

I tow with a 1500 Suburban so I can handle more weight. I will have to pick up a bathroom scale to measure the weight but the other day my wife stepped on the ladder on the swim platform and the front of the trailer lifted up. My boat is at the lake so I can't use the scale method right now, I...

Trailer Issue, not enough tongue weight

That is easy, don't have tabs. This will mean the winch is about 8" farther forward, with the bunks out sticking out past the transom quite a bit but I will give it a try.

New to me Grady 208 Adventure!!!! Couple ?'s

I once had a '83 175 'Rude on a Wellcraft V-20 that I only ran Lubrimatic, talk about cheap. I had to premix and I poured it up in 16oz Coke bottles. I saw one in the garage the other day but I don't think l I will use that 25 year old oil. It ran fine so I guess quality oils should be fine.

    Stolen Motors, brave thieves

I am amazed they pulled it off. The dealer is on a main road here in Columbia. I am sure if the police rode by and saw a fork lift loading engines at 3:00 in the morning he would have been curious. The manager said they had to change the propane bottle on the fork lift because they ran it out.

    OX66 Charging both Batteries?

Well, not the voltage regulator. First let me say I am a computer tech not an outboard tech. My engine was not charging the batteries and I took it to my shop for service, told them the batteries were not charging and the idle rpm was too low. They replaced the voltage regulator and said all...
