Received Atwood part # 8324-1 center cap ordered through West Marine. Had thought (hoped) it would fit the 15" 25 degree wheel (8652-1) supplied to GW for the 2000 272 Sailfish and others. No luck. Have returned part. Atwood now says they haven't made that steering wheel in a very long time...

After you remove the light, check out the switches. Replaced both the spreader and red/white light switches last year. Cost about $5 or $6 total. Search "dome light switch" in the forum. I think I got the info from Hookup1. Easy replacement.

A run from Key West back to Punta Gorda across Florida bay was pretty bumpy and really wet. The circuit breaker on the wiper switch of my 2000 272 Sailfish popped. Reset breaker and the wipers worked for a while then the breaker popped and could not be reset. Have never worked on these wipers...

Don't know the exact layout of the 282, however installed a Mermaid 6500 BTU unit under the stairwell on the port side of my 2000 272 Sailfish. It is aft of the refrig and can be accessed/installed with the refrig out. I am sure Cruise Air, etc. make a suitable unit/size to fit in this area...
