    Florida Fishing in March

Wondering how far South in Florida you need to go to get a good dolphin bite the middle of March. In South Carolina it usually turns on early May so maybe Palm Beach? Any advie would be appreciated.

    Crocker's Marine Closing?

That's a shame, those guys were top notch every time a dealt with them. They had the perfect set up for the bigger boats. The experts say the economy is in a recovery. Apparently they are not boaters.

Is a Bow Thruster the answer to my problem?

I debated over whether or not to add the thruster on my 33 and finally did it. No matter what the conditions or how tight the space is, you never even break a sweat. The only downside is you feel like you are cheating. Florida Bow Thruster did mine. 1-866-thruster Good Luck

    Anyone With Painted Hull?

My hull is not painted, but there is a 330 in Charleston painted dark blue with a tower. It looks awesome.

Things you wished you knew your first year owning a 360?

I don't have the 360 I have the 330, but one suggestion I would make is make sure you have a reliable way to the pull the boat out of the water on your schedule for oil and lower unit changes. If you fish a lot this needs to be done several times a season. The boat yards in my area did not...

Is SeaTow Membership Worth the Price?

Late one night I found myself on an oysterbank. Not a bit of the boat was in the water. I called sea tow and was off and running in an hour or so. The bill would have been 1400 bucks. I will always have it.

    300 HPDI's on 330 Express

I had the 225s and repowered with the 250s. Besides out of the hole no real difference in performance. The 250s burn a bit more fuel. I do know a guy with the 300s on his boat and he has not had any problems. Maybe he is just lucky.

    Panda Impellar change on 33

I'd call FP and find a service center close to you and watch them do it the first time. The dealer in Charleston is mostly a sailboat place and the mechanic could not believe how much room he had to work with in the Grady compared to a sailboat. I guess everything is relative.

Deck plate not screwing down tight.

I have one corner of my deck plate that you take off to service the generator on my 2002 33 express where the screw seems to be pulling through. I'm thinkin rotten balsa wood. I have replaced the well nuts and tried a two part epoxy thinking it might hold but it did not. Anyone have a fix...

    330 Express- New guy questions

I have an 02 that I repowered from the 225s to the 250s. It gets on plane a bit quicker but other than that no real difference. The one advantage the 225s seemed to have was they had a low rpm sweet part that would keep the boat on plane cruising at 20 mph and burning 16 gallons per hour. Best...

    Draining 4Stroke engine oil

I use the same extractor and it does the job. I always pump all I can then drain the last little bit from the drain plug. You can change the oil in the water, but since the lower unit needs to be changed at the same time I always pull my boat out and do them together. I bought a roll of...

Thru Hull leaking even though it is closed. Ideas?

It's the same type of valve that comes standard on the 33 Expresses. I had a thought that it might not be the valve leaking it could be water draining down from the a/c hoses when I take the strainer cap off. Next time I am down I'll take the a/c hose loose and see if I still have any flow...

    Yamaha Trim Meter Problem

Sorry you are having a tough time. I had to really work that thing up and down maybe 30 times while spraying wd 40. Manually move the arm to the up position and see if the gauge shows all the bars. If it does then the sending unit is probably OK.

Thru Hull leaking even though it is closed. Ideas?

I went to clean my strainer basket on my a/c unit yesterday and noticed water was flowing even though the handle on the thru hull was closed. (I double checked it was all the way closed.) Is there a packing nut or something I can tighten. It's not much water but it should be no water...

Anyone familar with the Bahamas West end?

It's a little bit further around Freeport than West End but I had a couple of great experiences in the Port Lucaya complex. (portlucaya.com) Great staff, great facilities plenty of restaurants, stuff for the kids etc.

    Fuel gauge issues

When I repowered to and put on the new Yamaha gauges, I had similar issues. I think it had to do with the old tank selector switch and the new system wiring. I took it back to the dealer and now the tank selector switch is abandoned and each tank has its own set of bars on the gauge. Hope...
