What's a great hard water spot remover

I had pretty good results with cerium oxide and a wool pad buffer. Some of the spots are permanently etched in the glass but the end result is a drastic reduction overall. Good luck with it!

    Window seals/gaskets 226/228

You can try Marine Glass Specialties for the seal between the frame and glass. For the one between the base of the frame and hull use adhesive 'double D' weather stripping. I reused the flap-type seals for the vents since I couldn't find new. Good Luck!

    Grady White 232 Gulfstream trailer

I too read about the hit or miss aspect of Venture and went with Owen and Sons. GVWR of trailer 11320, minus trailer weight of 1796, equals 9524 capacity. I doubt if my boat will ever weigh 9000 without someone on board, so Im comfortable with a 1/4 ton margin.

    Grady White 232 Gulfstream trailer

The axles and tires have a lot to do with GVWR for trailers, heavier rated axles can carry more weight. Which one is right for you depends also on how you use the trailer. My GS weighed in at ~8400 lbs with half tanks of fuel, I tow about 1K miles a year, I went with the heavier trailer.

Any Grady owners fishing the Great Lakes

Mine is salty as well. As long as you're prepared to deal with the (hopefully) minor issues that brings, I don't see what the big deal is.

    Windshield glass replaced ?

I guess it would have to be etched, the water spots on mine are prominent. I used white scrub pad with simple green, magic eraser, and bronze wool by hand on the front glass. The spots are faint now on those but I'd like to give it another try with the buffer. It seems to have worked on the side...

    Windshield glass replaced ?

Funny I ran across this thread, I'm in the process of polishing my windshield as well. I have the benefit of the glass being off the boat and in the garage. I've done maybe 2 full passes on the port side glass. The water spots are pretty much gone from the center, still visible near the edges...

Mounting Fish Finder in Electronics Box - Gulfstream

Just FYI, my ICOM up in the hardtop has an internal gps antenna. I also have 2 internal antenna machines in the dash. The dash machines both have good reception, the hardtop radio does not. Not sure if that speaks to the ability of the ICOM antenna or not just wanted to give some food for thought.

Mounting Fish Finder in Electronics Box - Gulfstream

On my '96 GS there's a pipe similar to the hardtop frame that runs from the dash electronics box up to the overhead one. It's plenty wide enough to run just about anything you'd want through it.

    Needing a little guidance

I used 4200 to seal my thru-hull, but yea drilling a 4" hole in the bottom of your own boat seems counterintuitive. So I guess put your big boy pants on and grab the drill! These guys put up a great video that helps with the pucker factor.
