Very happy with my Furuno Nav Pilot 300. Approx. half the cost of the $5-6000 mentioned.

I used a stainless steel transom bracket and used a piece of starboard to separate the motor mount from the bracket. Appears to be working well. Could not find polished stainless so settled for a fairly heavy duty ss angle. Like to believe it helps supports any transom flex.

Or make your own with a piece of ss ready rod cut to length. Purchase the threaded ends any marine store.

Glacierbaze I removed the pop out splash well hatches some years ago and replaced then with 10 inch Armstrong hatch covers (deck plates)They can not removed without loosening them manually. Also allows better access to the bilge area. Check them out...

Yes, I have it on my 208 with an F200 and T8 kicker, works great and have always had a remote on my kicker and no tiller. Added iTroll a few years ago which takes trolling to another level.

For me the GG forum has been a "band of brothers" with ease to navigate and so much focused help. I believe there is an option for you which involves the positive ..... find for yourself a Grady forum that for you appears less "crappy and complicated". Good Luck!

Thanks for the pics, It is a long way from Vancouver Island so do not think I will ever have the privilege of the tour, but I am sure I would find it interesting to see them in different stages of build and talk with the staff.

Yes, I replaced mine through an order from Jacobsens Marine in Washington. Just send them a pic of the broken one and I think any Grady dealer can get them. Do not know who manufactures them.

Not sure how much work I can do on my F200 if it stalled out on the brine. Yes I do all my own mods but apart from checking wiring..electrical shorts breaks etc. fuel issues, mechanically I do not think I could do much. They are a fairly complicated engine, (from my humble perspective)...

For any rounding or smoothing of starboard edges, a quick pass with a router does a beauty job.
