Gel Coat spider cracks - any thoughts

Any thoughts on the below gelcoat lines? Very thin, barely visible spider crack lines on the front strake of the boat. Anything to be concerned with? There is no visible fiberglass and no indication of impact. Boat is a 1999 vintage.

Yamaha 175 2stroke- Hard to start.

You should also check and possibly replace all fuel lines. The ethanol in fuel broke my fuel lines down and created havoc for an older motor I had. Motor ran like a top after they were sorted and carbs cleaned.

Winter cover for Adventure 208 (hard top and pulpit)

I have the same cover and get 2-3 years out of them. I dont get snow here and very little rain. I also, cover the sharp edges with carpet and put tennis balls in the rod holders. (I cut a hole in the tennis ball and put a 1 inch pvc pipe in it, stick it in the rod holder to avoid the sharp...

    Battery tender

I live in SoCal as well. I charge with 2 separate solar charges, 1 to each battery. It may be overkill, but I know my batteries are charged when I need them. I also try to use my boat every 2 weeks, but often more times goes by before I get that opportunity.

New Grady or Used Pursuit for First Time Boat Buyer/Owner

Agree with Mustang. Step on each boat, open the hatches, see how they are put together, finished or unfinished in hidden areas, do you have access to do maintenance, how do they fit you in terms of your family's needs, can you and your family move around comfortably etc.

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

No hard top on my boat. I just installed a bunch of rod holders on the railing. My boat looks like a porcupine out there.

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

Peter - I have definitely thought about that, but I just rather keep that area clean. Most times I have about 8-10 rods, once on the ramp they get put into rod holders and I am off. That works much better for, my rods may take a bit of beating though.

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

On my smaller 208, I just lay them on the deck. Not elegant, but it works for me.

Anyone Offshore in an Adventure 208?

Great advice in the above comments! I routinely take my 1999 GW Adventure 208 out up to 50 miles out in SoCal and Mex waters. We are super lucky here, SoCal has stable weather and not prone to surprise storms. I pick my days and don't go out if it is more that 12-14 mph wind or is sea state...
