It’s carrying weight is 9k and the trailer fits up to a 32’ boat. It was built for a 28’ Everglades. I could carry it empty of fuel, water and gear but I’d like to not have to worry about that. It’s fine for hurricane haul outs in a pinch I think but I’d like to take it to the Keys.

I’m looking for a trailer for my 282 Sailfish with twin i4 F200’s and was wondering what everyone has. I have a 9000k Float On from my last boat but I’m not sure it is sufficient. I do plan to put 250’s on it at some point. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I had mine done a few years ago without cutting a hole. They removed the batteries to get access. When I had my Islander done they, different shop, they did cut a square hole and put on a hatch.

Does anyone have an Ocean South stern shade on a 282 or 272? I’m planning on buying one soon but was wondering which size to get. I’ve measured and I found the cabin cruiser shade in size 12 is the closest. Figure I’d give this a week before I order to see if anyone had info. Thanks!

30” no, 250’s yes but you have to raise the scuppers. I looked at a ‘99 272 with F250’s and it was quick but the back of the cockpit had a bit of water in it because of the weight of the engines.

I have been toying with the idea of mounting rod holders parallel to the hard top under the top and get the blue, fiberglass outriggers to mount in them. Then get some sunbella and sew pockets into it so the outriggers slide into them. Have to mount my regular outriggers first and see how much...

Does anyone know where to find a replacement for the bag that hangs under the hardtop on a 282 Sailfish? My zipper broke and the grommets are not looking to good.

Please post some numbers for fuel burn, rpm’s and speed when you can. I get 28mph with my F200 i4s at 4100 and 16gph but I’d really like to put 250s on my 282.

I would also recommend putting weight on the end of the pulpit and see what happens before you get too worked up about this. Unbolt the bow rail and test it first.
