    Outboard motor fllush bag

I was looking for a better way to run my outboard on the trailer, the flushing ears never really worked for my motor. I found this outboard flush bag online, and so far so good. It does leak a little at the seams and that is expected. Overall I am very happy.

Patching a hole in console top, proper procedure?

Rob, you may also want to look at black acrylic as an option. You could also make for where your gauges are located and update the entire dash. I know, bigger project..but if you have the jigsaw out....

    GPS Boat Tracker

I know my wife can see generally where I am on find my iPhone. Does not work in Mexico. But she has tracked me as far as South San Clemente Island (off Southern Cal), about 50-60 miles from our house. She takes random screenshots, not sure if it is available all the time or you need to be...

    Deck access plates

I replaced my lids with the screw on type and am much happier. They leak much less than the pop outs.

    Bang plate round 2

I had it fabbed up when I put on my new motor. Fiberglassing the gap as mentioned above is the way to go.

    Bang plate round 2

I used a stainless steel bang plate. I filled the gap with epoxy, in hindsight, I wish I would have fiberglassed over the gap. 1996 Adventure 208.

    What does this screw do?

Yep, not a good design. Hookup, I was told that is a zerk fitting for a pivot tube and should be fixed. I am thinking mine broke off using the wedge (same one in above pic) or cleaning the boat. I'll need to be more careful when cleaning up and leaving the ramp - make sure the wedge is on...

New Sounder / gps planing for 232 gulf steam

What about the space above the steering wheel, the flip up glove box. You could close that area up and mount at the approp angle. I may do that in the future on my boat, lots of folks have done that on this site (mult models).

    Re-wiring a boat?

Hi all - I agree with seasick, my dad was a mechanic for 40 years and he always told me, "if it aint broke, don't fix it". That said, it did replace all fuse panels, bus bars etc when I freshened up my dash this year. All connectors etc were replaced, but I did not replace any wire runs.
