    Scupper and Scupper Hose Replacement

I agree not being able to find 1 with the scupper/flapper........and they're very $$$ (bronze)!! I'm leaning towards replacing the hoses and leaving the thru hull fittings and replacing the flappers.

    Scupper and Scupper Hose Replacement

Looked at my scupper hoses tonight and confirmed my suspicions that they need replacing. Any recommendations for scuppers and where to purchase? Stainless, bronze, plastic, etc....???

I'm sure it will. When the new owner @ Crows Nest realizes what did..........he's going to regret it. He could/should have handled it differently..........he acted to hastily in my opinion, unless he's got a plan.

    '95 268 Islander

I have a '95 268 Islander w/ twin '95 Johnson 175's. They weigh ~375# ea, boat is rated for 400HP Max. Considering a pair us '99 Yamaha ox66 225's. They weigh ~500# ea.......that's an additional 250lbs hanging off the back, no too worried about the additional 50HP.....never ride WOT. The '95 200...

New bow mounted boarding ladder and opening rail

Very interesting.........nicely done! I'm particularly interested in the hardware you used for the railing, locks/hinges. I bow in at my slip w/o floating docks. At high tide I need a ladder to board. Have seen some boats with the front of the bow rail removed but don't care for the look. If I...

'95 268 Islander Aux Fuel Tank

Think I have a bad sending unit for the aux fuel tank on my Islander. I have the fresh water tank and it seems as though the aux fuel tank is under the fresh water tank. There's an access port at the stern of the hatch at the helm deck........if that makes sense. There's another access port at...

Added water to the fresh water tank........hit the water pressure switch.......opened the faucet in the cabin sink and water started to come out, closed that faucet and opened the faucet in the head, no water...

Boat Life Calk vs. Boat Life Sealant

What is the difference? Are they interchangeable? Deck hatch vs. below waterline through hull opening for transducer install (~1" hole).

    Transducer Install

Thanks deep.....I am actually replacing a transducer that was already installed, not looking into drilling another hole(s). There are actually 2 transducers in this location w/ both the cables going through the same hole. Guess I'll clean-out the existing hole as best as possible, coat w/ epoxy...

    Transducer Install

Need to replace a transducer on my '95 268 Islander which has the stepped hull. Currently the transducer is mounted on the "vertical" surface which is approximately 24" fwd of the transom. In this configuration the cable for the transducer goes through the hull below the water line. Whoever...
