    Insurance

This was his post on here on his transom replacement. https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/transom-on-2007-marlin.33206/ When I insured mine with Chubb last year, even the agent was familiar with the Grady transom issues, and the coverage they provided for them. From the Chubb brochure "Loss...

    Insurance

I have mine through Chubb. While its probably a bit more than the ones listed above, the coverage is some of the best, imo. I have my 265 insured for a stated value of 80k, which also includes the trailer. They also have coverage for manufacturer design defects. I know someone who had their...

Repower for our 2001 Express 275

Did Yamaha make a 6 cylinder 200 4 stroke in 2001? I don't think ive seen a 2001 265 with original 200s on it. It's always been 225s or 250s 2 strokes on the 00-01 years. The issue is going to be the weight. Grady did a slight redesign in 2003 I believe, where they raised the scupper height...

    Repower 265 Express

I was able to reuse my ram when I went from OX66 250's to the zuke 200's. I sold my OX66's to a guy in Alaska that was building a gold dredging barge. He thought I was selling them for cheap, said everything up there is more expensive. Though I did have to haul them up to Seattle to get put on...

    265 X water intrusion

I would suspect that when he is weighted down with people in the back, the water is getting into the motor well area from the motor well drains. May need to replace the flaps on those as well or make sure they "close" flush.

I got to cross The Bar

This was earlier this year. The guy stole the boat and could have easily lost his life. Check out some of the other CG training videos from the Columbia, pretty crazy.

I got to cross The Bar

Should have let me know you were coming. Im about an hour east of Astoria. We get over that way every couple of weeks or so for dinner. I cross the Columbia river bar fairly often, and yes, it is no joke. Considering its almost 6 miles wide at the mouth, it has an enormous current. It can...

Poor Grady-White support for older boats.

Not to be the devils advocate here but try calling an automotive dealer of any manufacturer and try to find any sort of interior trim pieces on an 18-year-old vehicle. Whether its door panels, seat covers, etc., I can almost guarantee they won't have it or be able to supply you with any...

    REPOWER

I bought my 2000 265 for 32k last year. Spent just under 40k for the repower. Sold the OX66 250s i pulled off for 6500, sold the 9.9 kicker for 1500, so I recouped some of that cost. Then all the electronics upgrades I've done, but also sold the old stuff and recouped some of that cost as...

    NJ fishing reports

Doesn't look like they'll be much fishing on the east coast this next week. Hopefully Lee doesn't come close.

    Has anyone weighed a 265?

I have 400 lbs just in ice when we go out for albacore. :D :D I will say though, it honestly is a pretty easy boat to trailer. I don't moor my boat, and typically tow it about 200 miles round trip when i go out. Towing with a 2500 Duramax

    Lee Jr outrigger pole guides

I assume mine are Lee's as well, as the eyelet guides pictured above are for a Lee's. My poles insert into one another. I havent tried to see if they come apart, but I may give that a try. If i was going to drill, it would be in the same location as yours, where the poles overlap.

    Lee Jr outrigger pole guides

My poles are different than yours. The only threaded eye is towards the top of the pole, but mine is also missing the spike. The rest of the pole doesnt have any holes. The guides are like this. I thought about just drilling holes and using a threaded eye like how you have yours, but I...

    Lee Jr outrigger pole guides

Thanks. Anyone with a 265 run double lines on their outriggers? Debating if I want to run a single or double, just wasn't sure if running a double is a pain to deal with. First boat with outriggers

    Lee Jr outrigger pole guides

My outrigger poles were not rigged when I bought the boat, so I'm looking to put new rigging on them. I noticed it's missing a couple of the guides. Anyone have a source for a replacement or recommendation for new ones? Thanks

    265X fuel tank replacement

Did they put any coating on the new tanks, or just put in as bare aluminum?

    Garibaldi, OR tuna

Left the dock at 5:30, ran out to the 125.10 x 45.50 line, dropped our trolling gear and got our first one after about 20 minutes. Trolled SW, singles, doubles, and a couple of triples on the troll. Would pick up a couple on the jig, but could never get a full jig stop going. Most of the troll...

Buying a 2002 228 without trailer- Need trailer advise

I've been looking at changing the bunk material on my trailer, it has the carpet now, looking for something a little more "slick" so it goes on the trailer a bit easier.

    NJ fishing reports

Yeah, I don't think Ive ever seen worms in sea bass. See them in the larger ling cods and halibut though. Agree, sea bass is great. I prefer that and lings over halibut.
