I did start them and was able to check fluids. From that perspective they look good. They are still on the Marlin in an insurance yard.

I have an 05 release and love it. On the heavy side and runs like a tank which is what I wanted. Minimizes the waves in rough conditions. I’ve made tweaks to it over the years but generally well fit it out

Great torque and fuel efficieny with the diesel outboards. Drawback is weight, ~25% heavier and at least with the Cox idle speed is 5 mph due to large prop size.

Has anyone replaced the helm bench seat on a 283 or similar model with Lebroc or similar bucket seat? Mine is beginning to wear out and I am sure recovering would be $1000 so I as considering an upgrade to a twin bucket seat. any thoughts?

Wow - every 80 hours of use in the 3500rpm range would be a PITA

I beleive that the Yamaha F350 made during ~2012 to ? have a problem with the flywheel requiring it to be replace every 80 hours of use in the 3500RPM range. Does any one know if they have corrected this problem and in what year?
