Have you checked your deck drain hoses? They are notorious for rotting out and also for being rather difficult to change out. But if they are leaking you definitely want to address. There are a few threads on here on how to do it -- my marine cut access plates on the transom.

I have the Airmar B175HW, which has a wider cone than the 175H, but doesn't reach as deep. I'm primarily using it for fishing for tuna nearshore and offshore cape cod, and it works really well. Incredible definition and decent performance underway.

Maybe it was an option that wasn't installed? My '03 had an aftermarket antenna (1ft x 3inch cylinder as I recall) tha I removed... But I just installed Starlink on the hard top and it's a game changer... Full speed video streaming.

You'll just use the in-line hand-squeeze priming pump to push fuel all the way to the motor where there's a valve that lets air out but not fuel. Will take a bit of pumping, especially if you have an in-line fuel/water separator filter, but eventually you will be able to pump it until the bulb...

I don't have a picture, but it's mounted wide of the generator and air conditioning thru-hulls, accessible through the main deck hatch... It's the 20 degree tilt and I purchased from BOE Marine. It's kinda huge!

I have both the GT51TH mounted on the centerline as in the above picture but also the Airmar B175HW. I almost always use the B175HW as it gives amazing definition and resolution compared to the GT51, but of course it doesn't do side scan. The 175 also does pretty well at planing speeds.

Good point - it probably cycles on and off, so average consumption may be a lot less. But regardless, every inverter setup I've seen uses a separate battery bank...
