    Hydrofoil or Trim Tabs?

What prop are you running? If you need to fill any holes on the transom just to be sure or seal anything West System Six10 Epoxy works very well.

    Possible 192 owner

I agree, the transom needs to be checked. A quick method is with a brass hammer and tap, you can here the difference when there is water in there, even simple knocking with your hand. I would also check the brass motor well drain tubes to see if they are deteriorating as well as that is another...

Great work! Amazing, some sweat equity and she looks brand new! What wood/material did you use to re-secure your gas tank in place?

First weekend on the water and some (Updated more pics)

Re: First weekend on the water and some upgrades It was a lot of work but a good project. Ended up taking a week off and just focusing the days on getting it done, tough to make time. Yes the motor has 25" shaft and has the 20" transom. There is a picture of the helm in this post? Not sure...

First weekend on the water and some (Updated more pics)

Re: First weekend on the water and some upgrades Thanks, yea apart from being a pig on fuel, it runs very well. It is turn key always starts the first crank and idles nicely. Had it at 40mph on gps with a very light fuel load and just myself in it. I ended up ordering a tank through rds...

    It must be Spring because

Thanks. Sanded with 80 grit, then 220 grit. 4 coats of Cetol Sikkens Natural Marine teak with wetsanding of 400 grit in between coats. I found it came out so smooth and glossy with the wet sanding I didn't even bother with clear coat after. Impressed with the Cetol, applies very easily, no brush...

Well maybe not the worst fear realized on my 190 Tournament

Re: Worst fear realized on my 190 Tournmanet The boat is a 1989. No survey done, a mistake on my part. I have never bought a boat quite this old and with so many thru hulls so I have never encountered this before. I take full responsibility. Yea I have had a quote for a new gas tank from RDS...

    192 Tournament - is 150 HP enough?

Most 192's that I have seen are with 150hp's and the Grady Dealer in Ontario here pkg's them with 150hp Yamaha 4 strokes. Seems to be a good match for the boat.

Well maybe not the worst fear realized on my 190 Tournament

Well, had a good look the Grady last night and I am relieved in what I found. I located the fuel leak, it is the filler line that has a crack in it after i looked up in the ski locker. I am replacing the filler and vent line to the tank as they are original (actually have 1989 on them. After...

New wiring upgraded panel, what do you think?

I think it looks good. I have the same panel in mine and had a look behind the panel and it looked similar to yours, I haven't had any shorts or blown fuses yet but I like the look of this. Thanks for sharing.

    It must be Spring because

Yea, actually went to a poker supply place and they carried them. They are actually a little bit narrower then the ones they use in the Grady's today. I lined the bottom of them with white 3mm seadek so nothing will vibrate while under way! Yea the wood is a lot of work, but the results are...

Marine cooler vs using fish box

I decided that I wanted a removable cooler without drilling into the deck. I got a 52 quart Igloo Marine cooler and bought some SS eye bolts which are going into the cooler permanently. I then got some heavy duty SS bimini top clasps which I am screwing on the front of the motor splashwell...
