    Garmin Radar on 306 Canyon

I have Garmin electronics and would like to add a Garmin domed radar. They are available in 18" and 24" diameter. Is the 24" too big for the 306 Canyon T-Top?

How to Access Macerator, Canyon 306

Hello, when trying to pump out my holding tank using the macerator, I keep blowing fuses. The lights on the level indicator seem to be telling me the pump is clogged. I have a 2019 Canyon 306. Can anyone tell me how to access the pump to either unclog it (yuck) or replace it? Thanks.

    Garmin Fish Mapping by Sirius

The good thing about Marine Sirius XM is that you can turn it on and off at any time. I typically have the radio account all year but only turn on the weather feature in the summer. They typically have an introductory offer on the fishing package that you can try for yourself without investing...

    Garmin Fish Mapping by Sirius

To clarify, I took advantage of the introductory offer from Sirius XM and tried their full fishing package last summer. I wasn’t able to gather any useful information from it. I hoped the weed line location would be helpful but the information wasn’t even close to the conditions.

I tried it last summer in the Keys and it gave me no useful information.

    Solution....Grady Mold in Caulk

Thanks wLewis. He suggested using Soft Scrub with Bleach and letting it soak in. I ran a "bead" of the Soft Scrub covering the moldy caluk, let it sit overnight, hosed it off the next day and 100% of the mold was gone. This was a month ago and I've seen no bad side effects yet.

    Service Early or Late?

I have 2019, twin Yamaha 300's with 260 hours. It has been 51 hours and 8 months since my last service. I am taking a three week trip and will likely put another 100 hours on the boat. Should I have the "100 hour" service done at 51 hours before I go on the trip or wait until I get home and...

    Solution....Grady Mold in Caulk

I've owned two new Gradys and have seen many other late model Gradys, all have a problem with mold or mildew forming in the caulk on the gunnels. It get's worse over time. I read all the suggestions for cleaning mold but I haven't found one that works in this instance. Does anyone have...

    271 CANYON

My last boat was a 2008 273 Chase and it served us well. I hope this makes sense...it's a really big, small boat. We've spent many hours feeling comfortable and safe offshore in the Keys but can still use the boat to carefully drift the edge of a flat. I think the 271 can handle any situation...

    Hardtop Through bolts leaking?

Or... I thought I had leaks into my hardtop from above. After months of investigation, it turns out I was "flooding" the top when I sprayed a hose on the underside to wash it. There are connections between the tubes and the top and electronics box which aren't sealed at all. Water was...

    Boat Lift Advice

I suggest you spend the little bit of money to upgrade to the 13k lift. I've had 3 lifts over the last 30 years. A quality brand 10k lift that held my 273 Chase showed signs of stress. I replaced it with a 13k lift and felt much safer.

    Bahamas Trip Featured in Anchorline

The Anchorline feature of the club's Bahamas trip was fantastic and I found the additional detail on Grady's website. I'd love to join you next year. Is there a trip being planned for 2021?

    Extra water storage

If only needed occasionally, you might consider a portable water bladder. You can use the water in the bladder first and stow the empty bladder for the rest of the trip.

Garmin Sonar Not Reading Bottom at Speed

Bdsp1234, I will appreciate the help. Skunkboat, thanks for the information on the transducer. I'm only looking for readings at speed and I don't want to spend the money if the transom mount doesn't read on a plane.
