Good things that boaters have done for each other?

Last fall I was limping back to a marina 10 miles from my home port Not sure I would even make it there When I got to the harbor and saw my wife waving to me I was relieved Then as I came up to the docking there was a sailboat stuck outside of the dredge, I was their only hope , it was late...

    battery sizes

The “ group size” imo seems to be more important in cars than in boats, because cars have very limited engine space and are set up for a specific size battery I learned this while shopping my batteries apparently there is little difference between group 21- 34 battery capacity , more different...

Anyone using Garmin GPSMAP 8610? Tranducer recommendations?

I bought the Echomapuhd94sv back in December- Westmarine was running a sale and it beat online and I could walk away with it After purchase I looked at transducer options - I did not want the transom mount it came with- I decided I did not need side view if I had a really good sonar pic - so...

External transducer mounting on twin engine 270

    Where to put the phone

I never keep my phone or wallet on me when on board, my concern is an unexpected “ emergency” while fishing or whatnot and I am leaning over gunwale bye bye phone - I have lost many glasses this way - I keep both in side board cup holder area, plenty convenient and will stay dry unless we sink

Scummy Things Fellow Boaters Have Done To Others...

Fishtales - I would say drop that marina My sense ,from what you described , anchor had to be an inside job , what thief would go to time and trouble to install an anchor where he is under time constraint? Sounds like someone had lots of access and wanted to upgrade their own boat, my guess is...

I have same year boat, bought it in 2019 So far biggest hurdle has been getting a marina to give my boat the time it needs So many - because of Covid- have been busy moving new boats out the door and into the water and of course dealing with their new boat owners issues - I do get it they sold...
