Watch the weight of your motor, 4strokes are heavier some have had problems with water coming in scuppers after mounting a 4 stroke. I have a 225 two stroke weighs 485 lbs. a 4 stroke would be much heavier.The boats scuppers were drilled for the weight of a 2 stroke.

Just FYI took my 1990 200 Johnson to a rebuilder in Western penn. They rebuilt my power head complete including carbs with a block that has never seen saltwater in one day while I waited for $3650. I have 25hrs. on it and it runs great.If interseted I can get you the #.

I was just givin a "Good" rope windless and I"m looking for help as to where to mount it. I have read about replacing the hatch with marine grade plastic. I"m also thinking about beefing up the hatch with aluminum angle or sq. tube and mounting it there,thanks.

Just went to a dealer who sells both E-tech and yamaha. He is pushing yamaha saying they are the better deal.

Block will be set up with remanfactured parts,this is a rebuilding shop and they do all their own work. They have same day service,it takes 6 hr. to do the exchange. I"m dropping the motor off on the morning of 9/14 and pick it up at the end of the business day.1 yr. gaurantee.

Just priced a 200hp yam 2 stroke, 12,000 for the motor,3000 for installation plus sales tax comes to well over 16,000. Decided to have my old 225hp refitted with rebuilt power head and a new block,price $3600 total with tax. On my 89 overnighter it stayed more in line with what the boat is worth.

When filling my Overnighter I have to fill slowly otherwise fuel comes out the vent. I hear its not uncommon. Any suggestions how to fix,thanks.

I"m in one of those slips. I pull in bow first and have a short padded ladder I use from the bow to the dock. Nailed 2x4"s to the dock so ladder can"t slip.

My 1990 225hp Johnson rebuilt in 99 runs great and Iam impressed with a rebuild 10years old and still running good. I also know she's getting old and I"m considering another rebuilt motor when the time comes. Anyone know of a good source. Thanks

I know this topic gets beat to death,but after reading here of the importance of checking thru hulls on older gradys I checked mine. First one came apart as soon as I touched the hose,WOW! I"m changing them all right now, thanks.

Its a 89. After one season I can say it is a very versatile boat. Fished shallow back bays and the ocean til mid Dec. I can even pole it along the sod banks which is how I catch alot of stripers on plugs. When time comes I will repower and keep it. I don"t think there is an extension on the...

Thanks it was a little sluggish at first, didn"t get up on plane fast but then a spark plug wire came apart so I replaced them. That was it, jumps right up now. Cruises at 20 kts. with top end around 28kts.

The ICW from Great Bay to AC well marked and you can make decent time, it is very narrow in a few spots.. I would prefer the ocean route. Absecon inlet into AC is well marked . Weather should be stable at that time. Farley State marina will have every thing you need as well as access to the casinos

Thanks and Merry Christmas, the boat, owners manual and all documents and records are complete and in good shape. I refinished all teak but one season in a slip took its toll. I think I will trailer it this season so I can keep it looking good.

Hi, since buying my 20ft. overnighter I take notice of alot of others but I have yet to see one with a bracket like mine. Were they a special order? I am very happy with the boat, thanks.
