Why do you require twin engines? If you went with a single and then a kicker you could have used an ez steer set up. I use it on my 225 Yamaha and 8 HP Yamaha high thrust trolling in Lake Michingan and it works great.

I need to remove the original caulk around my 2004 Gil Engine Bracket and replace with new caulk. Any suggestions on the type of caulk to use?

I believe if you watch the weather the boat would be a great boat for Lake Erie. Keep in mind there are hundreds of the deep vee walleye boats on the lake and they take the weather, so your 251 should be fine. Again, watch the weather because the lake can build up fast.

SmokyMtnGrady, those are the same tires I have on my trailer and I too run at 80 PSI with no issue. I am towing a Gulfstream.

I just replaced my old Raymarine unit with an Axiom Pro RVX 9 inch with a Raymarine RV100 transom mount transducer and it works great. Sonar, sidescan, downscale and 3d imaging. You have lots of choices, do your homework and choose the one you like the best.

I believe Grady White should change the design of the Marlin and make it a full transom and add a bracket. The Albermarle 30 express has a bracket and full transom.

I have the same truck as you and it tows my Gulfstream just fine, I would opt for the Gulfstream. Then you can fish the Great Lakes or your large inland lakes and have a great vessel for fishing or family fun.

This original post is timely because I noticed water coming in from my headliner on the starboard side. Does anyone know if you remove the rubber seal on the outside of the windshield would that expose the screws that need to be resealed? Also, what was the part number you ordered from Marine...

My 2004 Gulfstream sits on an EZ Loader 6800 pound tandem galvanized steel trailer and have had no issue with this set up. A single engine with a kicker.
