Had the same issue with my '84 204. Took a garden hose and placed in the compartment drain hole turned on the water and then same process from the through-hull fitting. Blew everything out of the tubes. No problem since then.

I have a 204 CC Fisherman and fish the Middle to Lower Chesapeake and its river systems with 4 adults with no problem at all. Powered by a 150 Johnson. Smooth ride with relative dryness.

I recently painted my 204 Fisherman CC deck with Interlux paint and added the Interlux powdered non slip agent to the paint itself. Works great. Just follow directions for a proper mix ratio. Good Luck!
