    1987 204C Midship Scuppers

Assuming it's the same as an 86, you can get to the port side by taking the drawer box out. On the starboard, you need to cut an access port in the panel that is at your ankle. Swing your right leg to the right while you're at the helm... that piece you bang into is where you cut the hole. I...

    F225 on a 204c Overnighter?

I had the old motor gone over thoroughly 4 years ago. Like I said, it still runs great, but how much more cannon really expect from it. No hour meter, but it’s surely over 1000 hours. I’ll look into that 200 seriously. I just hate going backwards on HP. Thanks for the advice.

    F225 on a 204c Overnighter?

I’m taking the Yamaha outboard weight from here... https://yamahaoutboards.com/en-us/home/outboards/350-150-hp/v6-4-2l And Johnson weight from here NADA guide. I did put my kid on top of the motor and my scuppers were fine. Close, but above water.

    F225 on a 204c Overnighter?

Hi all, Been a while since I last posted. Life can really get away from you... I have a 1999 225 Johnson on my 86 204c. It’s served me very well, and still runs great. However, I don’t have a lot of confidence in it anymore. It stuttered a few times in the late summer, and that really made...

    Radar Arch on an Overnighter

Hello, I have not posted in a while... busy with work and keeping my kids out of trouble. I'm thinking of putting a radar arch on my boat. It's an 1986 204c. I want it for all the usual reasons... get the fishing rods up off the deck, mounting lights, etc... However i also want to have a lug...

    86 Overnighter Fuel Cap O-Ring

Thought of that, but i'm concerned about the thickness of the ring. It needs to make a tight seal to the female part of the fill to keep water out. I remember it being pretty thick... or maybe I don't.

    86 Overnighter Fuel Cap O-Ring

The o-ring on my fuel fill cap dry-rotted and is now MIA. I saw that it was going bad last year... figured I'd replace this spring. Bad decision to wait. Anyone know of a replacement size or maybe OEM? Not sure what other info to add other than the boat is a 1986. Thanks, Tim

    208 mods

I made a cleaning table over the splashwell on my 204c. I made it out of wood last winter as a template, and was going to make a couple modifications and fabricate it out of Starboard this winter. I'd love to see a couple more photos of yours, especially from the side to see how it hinges...

Hi guys. I haven't been here in a whileI need to replace the fuel tank on my 86 Overnighter. Can anyone recommend a local fabricator? Looking to save some $$ on shipping cost by picking it up. Also hoping to find a Delaware fabricator to save on sales tax... but MD, NJ and PA are a stones...

Looking for a good Canvas guy in DE area

My windscreen on my top gave up a while ago... now my temporary patch is done too. I've called a couple of places I've found on-line or via referrals, but I've not been happy with the response. I cant get callbacks from 2 of them, and the other guys sounded like a complete hick. He also told...

Getting a new Bimini top & curtains... Advice?

Didn't work out too well for me... Wife convinced me that we should buy a new house over the winter. So, until i sell my old house, anything for the boat is on the back burner. Anyone want to buy a house? Great Grady discount. Anyone?

Installing a gasket around a floor well in an 86 204c???

I ordered a hatch, but it's on backorder. As soon as i get it i'll let you know how the install goes. I'll probably wait till winter to put it in though. As far as height, it's gonna be close. Worst case is that I'll have to trim the doors down a little... no big deal. Tim

Installing a gasket around a floor well in an 86 204c???

The more I think about it and look at the photo... I think I'm going to put in an aftermarket hatch. This one looks like it'll fit... http://www.beckson.com/hatches.html Scroll down to the HT1821. I'm going to do some measuring when I get home to see how it looks. The hatch is $110...

Installing a gasket around a floor well in an 86 204c???

I'd like to install some sort of gasket and latch in this well... It's a stock well. It is almost useless because of all the crap that ends up getting down there. Dirt, pine needles, leaves and any other crap that floats around on the deck ends up in the drain. I keep a pair of...

Getting a new Bimini top & curtains... Advice?

Circulation is the main reason i dont use my curtains that much. I like the smiles in theory, but i'm having trouble picturing what you mean. Could you post a photo? Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to install any extra framing to get rid of the rear bimini hold-down straps, I'd...

Getting a new Bimini top & curtains... Advice?

I'm finally breaking down and having a new soft-top & curtains made. I've recieved permission from the wife. I am going to have it made pretty much the way it was, but with one modification. My old front curtain was sewn to the top... i hated it. The new one will zip on to the top & snap...

    SunScreen Stains

Spray-on lotions are the worst thing ever invented. They stain, but more problematic is the fact that the overspray on the cockpit floor makes it as slippery as ice! I took a hard fall a few months ago from it. It is now banned from my boat. I carry plenty of regular lotion on the boat...

Cost of new top & curtains on a 204c

I'm thinking about getting a new top & curtains. My top is acutally in pretty good shape. The side and rear curtains are a little cloudy and the zippers aren't the easiest to work... but they are still functional. My front curtain is gone. It shattered in the cold last winter... it was a...
