    Sailfish Moulding

I found it at my local Grady dealer. The trim part number is 10-473 and I was quoted $4.58 per foot.

    Sailfish Moulding

I am attempting to find some as well. No luck at West Marine, and I am waiting on a call from Marine Max. Did you ever locate any?

    Fresh Water Washdown Replacement

I ordered a nice SS one, but the diameter of the insert would require cutting the transom hole larger. I would prefer to avoid that if possible because it has a wood core.

    Fresh Water Washdown Replacement

The black flap on my transom washdown has finally broken. Has anyone been able to find a factory replacment assembly? Or at least something that will fit in the hole without having to cut it out more? Thanks!

    Transom door seal on Sailfish?

They do not have a seal, but the latch should hold it secure enough that it will not rattle. Mine also has a small wear spot at the top.

    Trailer for 265 express

I had an 8 lug double made for my Sailfish from Hitech Marine. A heavy tandem will do just fine for you.

Grady 282 Bilge Going On Every 5 mins

    1999 yamaha 200 hpdi-question

The oil level in the tank under the cowls tend to stick on mine while idling around. Just pull them out and work the float up and down a little.

    Advice-4stroke to hpdi

They will be louder at idle, but not like old style 2 strokes. Running noise is similiar with the HPDIs havong a better "sound" in my opinion. Yamaha 4 strokes are ultra quiet at idle, so you will notice a noise increase.

    Advice-4stroke to hpdi

You will like the HPDIs. Plenty of power for a Sailfish and easy to maintain.

    282 Sailfish

I have a 272 with HPDIs and am happy with it. It gets better fuel burn than a friends 282 with 225s, plus I am quicker out of the hole. If you troll a lot the four strokes are a better engine fuel and noise wise. Never have been able to compare it to one with 250s. Check posts from Tanami (?) he...

    Gas can used for oil

I use a new plastic gas can. No issues. Great for bulk oil purchases.

    Roller vs. Bunk Trailer

I had a heavy duty 8 lug dual axle made for my Sailfish. It is rated higher than a standard triple. I have had a roller on another boat and keeping up the maintenance in the rollers and hardware was a PITA, but man did it load and unload easily!

    Sailfish Hull Differences

I have only ridden in my 2000, but I think you would have to ride them back to back to tell a difference in seas. The SeaVee2 is what is important IMHO. I would be curious in handling differences in a turn.

Help settle a Ring Free debate.

I have three Yamaha outboards and do not run ring free, however, I only run Chevron or Texaco fuel with Techron. I was told Chevron/Texaco is the source provider for ringfree from someone with knowledge on the subject (no proof, just word of mouth). Basically the ringfree is rebadged Techron you...

    Best Windlass for a 228?

I have the Profish 700 and must say the thing is big and heavy compared to the factory Grady windlass. I think the 1000 would be overkill on anything 30' or less.

    272/282 Anchor line

I have 300 feet of line in the locker now and would like to add more. I just wanted to see how much everyone else has. Any ideas on what it takes to store the maximum amount would be appreciated.
