THEY PUT A REALLY NICE FACTORY HARDTOP ON THOSE YEAR BOATS. A COMPANY OUT OF WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC HOPE THAT IS WHAT IS ON BOAT. PROBABLY IS. YOU WILL NOW BE INTO BRAKES FOR AXLES, CONTINUAL EXPENSE BUT YOU NEED THEM HEADING DOWN TO THE KEYS, ETC. LOOK ON UNDERSIDE OF AXLES TO SEE JUST HOW...

NICE BOAT, LOTS OF TEAK TO CLEAN, SUPRISINGLY ITS NOT A REAL DEEP V HULL HOWEVER THAT 9'6" BEAM IS A REAL BLESSING. I'M IN VERO, HOW MUCH THEY ASKING. THE ENGINES MUST BE REALLY TIRED AS YOU MENTIONED NOTHING ABOUT THEM. UNLESS THEY ARE BLOWN, A COMPRESSION CHECK, VISUAL INSPECTION OF...

I don’t think that most of these folks following this site really have an idea of what the sea can do.

    ID this model DC?

After further review, this could have been originally powered as a Grady Drive which was a 205hp OMC on a specialized power bracket. I speculate this because that bracket on the transom was not Grady White. They originally used a Springfield bracket. It’s all been refitted to accommodate...

    Roughest Seas You’ve Endured - Seafarer 228?

I have a 91 24’ Seafarer Crossing GULFSTREAM coming back to Florida from Grand Cay, next to Walkers Cay. Unseasonably north wind blowing in June made Stream stand up like a wall. Life jackets on EPIRB in hand, easily 12’ seas. boat had damage but dam it, it brought us home safely. God Bless...

    ID this model DC?

That teak in the gunwale tells me for sure it might be in the 84 - 88 vintage. Wonder why you can’t simply look on the transom for the last two digits indicating the year. As already pointed out

    ID this model DC?

I think it could easily be a 1989. They made a atournament model in 89 in 22 and 24’. Plus, the teak rod storage in gunnwale tells me it’s around ‘89 cause they changed that teak for different material about 1990

panel switches... Fuel switch? is this useless?

PS: do not use glass fuses, use spade fuse application. I used glass but should have opted for spade fuses

panel switches... Fuel switch? is this useless?

Most likely it is a two way switch designed to take a reading on both tanks. You didn’t say what size your boat is but back in that day anything 22’ and larger had an option for dual fuel tanks. They just used the same switch for a single fuel tank application. I too replaced my switch panel...
