    Underwater lights

I installed a drain plug LED light on my rig. The maker was FIREWATERMARINE and I purchased it off Amazon. I was very pleased with the result. No drilling, and cheap - I figured it was worth the $30 gamble to try it out, and would definitely do it again.

    Best boat trailering stories

Was cruising along with the family - on our way to a nice weekend fishing trip. Tapped the brakes to knock the cruise control off prior to an upcoming stop sign and felt a thump..... uh-oh...that's a bad feeling. Was able to slow down gradually and pull over without further damage. the...

    Towing a 1990 seafarer 228g

Like mentioned above - NO. it is not a safe idea, period. If you choose to, it will "probably" be ok. If something happens, you will be liable. You asked and didn't like the answers. It seems like you are fishing for approval, but you know deep down that it is not right. It's...

    Doormat?

. I use an outside doormat that looks like fake grass. Swish it off in the lake and it’s clean. Makes a world of difference in how much sand and gravel gets tracked into the boat.

    Thinking Gulfstream

FWIW - I know its not a grady, but my search resulted in me owning a Pursuit 235 offshore. At just shy of 23' in length, it weighs a hair over 5000 lbs and I am very pleased with its ride. The overall lower profile makes for a very nice platform regarding excessive pitch and roll. A single...

    Loaded and ready to go!

85 miles @ 2.25mpg is approx. 38 gallons used. 3.5 gallons of oil for that amount of gas is roughly an 11:1 ratio. Something aint right. That is waaaaaay too much oil.

    Yamaha gauge accuracy?

Thanks for the replies! I appreciate it. I'll be verifying soon. This is a great sight - hope I am still welcome as a non-Grady guy! Tim

    Yamaha gauge accuracy?

Here’s a question for all of you with more experience than I. In doing some testing of my new-to-me boat(Sorry, I found a pursuit instead of a Grady. Couldn’t pass on the boat due to low hours and condition) , I was observing the fuel flow readout and was wondering about how accurate these...

    New member - big question

Luckydude - I was just thinking if I knew the keel-to-top dimension, it would be relatively easy to get a measurement from the ground to the keel on any boat I was looking at and just calculate the total. With every trailer having a potentially different height that it holds the boat, that...

    New member - big question

Thanks for the quick replies. I realize the variations that can occur with things attached to the top, and that there could be trailer differences. I am a maintenance guy by trade, not a writer' so sometimes my written message does not come out exactly the way it rattles around in myside of...

    New member - big question

Hello all. I recently cleared the biggest hurdle in getting a newer boat - wife approval. I am in the early stages of searching/figuring out my best option. I am looking at either a used 228 seafarer, or 208 adventure with hardtop. My question is - what is the total height on the...
